Rina Consulting - Centro Sviluppo Materiali (CSM) is a fully private innovation centre with extensive experience in the development and application of innovative processes and materials. Today CSM is part of RINA, a global provider of classification, certification, testing, inspection, and training services for major industries. Currently RINA CSM has more than 80 active Grant Agreements with the European Commission.

Sidenor is one of the European leaders in special steel long products; its main markets are automotive and energy. It has 5 rolling mills, heat treatment and finishing facilities.
Its research and development centre, Sidenor I+D, has its own Research Laboratory, which is equipped with modern test facilities for metallurgical characterization as for physical simulation.

Oulun yliopisto (UOULU) is one of the largest universities in Finland, with steelmaking one of the focus areas. The Process Metallurgy Research Unit is experienced in understanding reactions, reaction kinetics, thermodynamics and mass and heat transfer phenomena in high-temperature processes, publishing annually approx. 50 peer-reviewed journal articles in addition to conference papers. the metallurgical industry. The research is largely technology-oriented with emphasis on fundamental research in the materials characterization. Today, the research is carried out in 10+ projects, four of which are EU funded.

Feralpi Siderurgica S.p.A. is the leading company of the homonymous Feralpi Group. Established in 1968 in Lonato del Garda, in the province of Brescia, Feralpi is a major European manufacturer of reinforcing steel in bars and coils, wire rod, electro welded mesh and other derivatives with a production capacity of about 2,5 Mt/year and about 1800 employees. It also processes scrap, delivered by road or rail, by means of a shear and a shredder. Feralpi Siderurgica (Lonato) is a society of the Feralpi Group that includes several production sites.

Acciaierie d'Italia S.p.A. (AdI), the largest Italian steel company, is specialized in carbon steel flat products. Acciaierie d'Italia S.p.A. is a public and private company. In addition to finished steel products destined for both the national and international market, it feeds the company production system and, through this, large areas of the entire national metalworking industry. AdI aspires to have a key role in building a sustainable future for society. The sustainability and high quality of AdI's materials processing responds to customers’ needs: automotive, carpentry and civil, mechanical, infrastructure construction, energy, household appliances, packaging, and the food sector. Being an integrated steel mill, AdI has also great knowledge of circular economy, processes and energy efficiency and by-products valorisation.

VDEh-Betriebsforschungsinstitut GmbH (BFI) is a non-profit research institute located in Düsseldorf, Germany, and is specialised to applied research topics in the field of steel industry. BFI maintains close contacts with many industrial partners and with a huge number of research partners around Europe. The institute addresses emerging issues of major relevance for steel industry . Nearly all projects end with practically implemented solutions of research results. As a research institute BFI networks extensively on an international scale and is very familiar with all relevant national and European funding programmes.

AG der Dillinger Hüttenwerke (AGDH) is an integrated steel works with nearly 5.000 employees situated in Saarland, Germany. The total annual production of steel is about 2.4 million tonnes. AGDH is specialised in high quality line-pipe steels, heavy plates and HIC resistant steel grades. Metallurgical facilities include blast furnaces, hot metal desulphurisation, BOF steelmaking, secondary metallurgy and four continuous slab casters three of vertical (solid core) bending type and one vertical caster as well as two plate mills. The laboratory of AGDH is equipped with different facilities required to run a modern instrumentation. AGDH is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and OHSAS 18001and has extensive experience with ECSC/RFCS projects.
